As the animated versions can be admirable to watch and connect with, Porsche and Pixar are counting days to get the nice, blue Porsche 911 Carrera aka ‘Sally’ aka “McQueen’s girl” from the film ‘Cars’ to life! All decked up in her original blue, the real life Sally will be based on a Type 992 Porsche 911 being worked upon by Porsche alongside animators from Pixar.
We are happy to know the real life Sally will be auctioned and the proceeds will go to the girls and women empowerment NGOs giving them the much needed ride to a better tomorrow with this exclusive project. Much excited?!
Little to know about ‘Sally’ from the movies, while one admires the life of Lighting McQueen portraying a life of a successful race car, I adored Sally’s role even more where we gave him the lost confidence in getting back to his character, she was more than just a beautiful Porsche 911 Carrera from California who added value as a supporting character in McQueen’s life and striving to make a difference around her.
To mark the 20th anniversary of Sally, Pixar Animation Studios and Porsche have been working together to commemorate this milestone with a valuable purpose. An attempt to bring Sally to road will be taking its design inspired from the movie but not a copy of her. She will be nothing like the others, giving her modifications and additional beauty to set her apart, making her extra special.
We hope to see the same spirit as the original Sally into our world, it will have a windscreen you can see out of and shares its panels with the 911 we know and love. This initiative will being more joys with its purpose to help others and being her usual fun in one’s life! What a way to have the characters come to life, the ones you have seen growing up! Here’s a short video to get the essence of the wonderful and ever loved Sally.
