Aston Martin’s first SUV, the DBX!

Just as the Delhi things go, a supercar being parked beside a chaat stall or a SUV slicing through the busiest streets. Delhi has much more a happening scene when it comes to such super sports cars being used as a daily drivers, using it to the fullest of its potential, surprisingly here in India given our daily route with rough streets all along.

With a new found liking towards SUV’s in the global market, marquees are making a flurry to hop on the SUV bandwagon. Aston Martin, an iconic luxury British sports car brand, has delivered a prodigious amount of classic sports cars to the world over the time, but no longer holding back to its heritage, after over 100 years they have managed to kick off in the world of SUV’s with an unmistakable profile seen here - ‘Aston Martin DBX’.

The big burly exteriors are a class part from the rest, going with the grille as it was first seen on a DB2 prototype in 1949 giving the now DBX a distinctive Aston Martin face. Muscly bonnet, dramatic doors, the sleek duck tail and signature LED light blade, recalls the styling of their flagship sportscar, Vantage. More on its interiors - Aston Martin Indulgence as they call it, with three different grades of leather available, as well as the first ever use of woven wool felt in a production road car, the upholstery can be further combined with a choice of seven dashboard veneers, from contemporary wood to carbon fibre and natural flax composite.

The adventurous drives to get you anywhere in an DBX is all with its active all wheel drive, the height adjustable air suspension to change by up to 95mm from lowest to highest setting. This V8 offers an exhilarating 550PS power output, backed by 700Nm of torque. A jaw dropping sight in metal than the pictures is all what we can say. Sparing the performance factor for less, the video shares prime details to one’s doubt. As for the price factor, the Aston Martin DBX is priced at Rs. 3.82 crore (ex- showroom) with only 11 units to be sold here in India.
