The New BMW M8 Coupe and M8 Competition Coupe, M8 Convertible and M8 Competition Convertible are here.
BMW M GmbH is embarking on a luxury-segment offensive with a quartet of new high-performance sports cars at the pinnacle of its model range.
June 10 ,2019
BMW has rebuilt a new M8 family with more power to its performance and more powerful engine. Keeping the track mind these machines are tuned to out perform the M performance with the high revving V8 unit with M TwinPower Turbo technology that develops 441 kW/600 hp in the new BMW M8 Coupe and new BMW M8 Convertible, and 460 kW/625 hp in the Competition models.
The #NextGen Buyers will experience a unique chassis that stands out in particular is a newly developed integrated braking system, an M-specific version of which presents the driver with two different brake pedal feel settings.
Keeping it short, starting with V8 engine with signature M performance traits;
The performance-focused character of the engine, transmission and chassis allows the new BMW M8 Coupe and M8 Convertible to power from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3/ 3.4 seconds and M8 Competition Convertible in 3.3 seconds.The most powerful variant of the V8 teams up with a special engine mounting for a more rigid connection with the vehicle structure. This results in even crisper engine response and also has a positive effect on the immediacy of turn-in and the transmission of engine noise into the cabin. Also talking about its sophisticated cooling systems that ensures operating temperatures at all times, both on the urban roads and while stretching their legs on the track.
Eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and M xDrive;
Intensely Interesting! The power transfer is basically through the Eight- speed M steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. The interesting part comes when you press the Drivelogic button on the newly designed selector lever allows the driver to select from three modes with specific shift characteristics for particularly efficient, sporty or ultra-dynamic driving. Yet another enthralling feature is the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system with its rear-biased setup. The driver can choose the between the default 4WD setting and 4WD Sport mode which diverts larger portion of power to the rear wheels.
M-specific chassis with extremely rigid mounting;
What more can you expect from a M specific character? So here these models come with a fresh take on the M feeling with its unbeatable directional stability, linear build-up of transverse loads and neutral steering behaviour even at the limit which sums up that these are track ready and at times a family comfort.
Interior;
Whats next to give a more deeper thought into its interiors? A more luxurious ambience and a M cockpit! The new Setup button on the centre console enables direct access to the settings for the engine, dampers, steering, M xDrive and braking system so they can be tailored to personal preferences and the situation at hand. Moreover, the driver can have a permanent custom setting to his own safety and comfort.M Mode allows the driver to activate ROAD and SPORT settings, while the Competition models also come with a TRACK setting designed exclusively for use on race circuits.
AA thoughts!
This era of luxury and speed demands sporty engines with a comforting twist making the automakers gearshift to the #NextGEN mechanisms. The M specific would be setting up high hopes with its performance and we hope to catch a glimpse of one of thesesounds revving up in the open.
