Miller Motorcars Hypercar Event - A Petrolhead's Wet Dream

March 16 ,2019

Hypercar. The word alone is enough to give petrolheads goosebumps. These cars represent the pinnacle of automotive technology, with technology that is decades ahead of anything in its era. Hypercars are statements. They are proof of mankind’s unfathomable technological advancements and design prowess.

Given that they are some of the most sought-after and exclusive cars with production numbers barely exceeding triple digits, it is no surprise that the odds of you seeing one in person are pretty slim. Seeing multiple hypercars at one place? Almost impossible. Except, it isn’t - for one day at least. Miller Motorcars recently organized an event which showcased hypercars from three decades in one place. Here are a few pictures from the event, courtesy of @thepetrographer17.

The Holy Grail of the automotive world - the McLaren F1. This car is arguably the greatest ever built. It is extreme in every possible way. The F1’s driver’s seat is in the middle of the car, with two seats on either side. And that is not even the most extreme part about this car. For instance, the engine bay has real gold sheets, like a spaceship.

The Bugatti EB110 is quite possibly one of the most distinct cars ever produced. It pays homage to the storied founder of the brand, Ettore Bugatti on his 110th birth anniversary. It looks like something straight out o a twelve year old’s dream, minus the rocket launchers. A little known fact about the car - the creator, Romano Artioli wanted this to look r than any Ferrari and Lamborghini, which is why he recruited a bunch of Lamborghini engineers to work on the car. Only 139 EB110s were produced.

Vector Motors was founded when Gerald Wiegert wanted to compete with supercars brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Lotus. While not many are aware of this California-based company, their cars are some of the most stunning ones out there. Pictured here are the Vector WX-3 and WX-3R, both owned by the famous car collector Kris Singh @lamborghiniks.

No ‘90s hypercar feature would be complete without the legendary Ferrari F40 and its successor, the F50. Both these cars have created an everlasting impact on the automotive industry and remain to be the poster car for kids to this day.

Paganis are some of the most exclusive cars, but the Zonda C12S Monza is a one-off. The car is a souped-up version of the regular C12S with some extreme additions from the factory which make it a track-only car.

The EB110’s spiritual successor, the Veyron was also present. This one isn’t a regular Veyron though, oh no. It is the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Essentially, it is a Veyron Super Sport roadster. Oh, and the car’s name literally translates to “Speed” in French - matches perfectly with the car’s 408.84 km/h top speed. It is one of the fastest roadsters to have ever gone into production.

Here's a glimpse of the stunning Ferrari Enzo in a quite unique colour.

The Porsche Carrera GT is hailed to be one of the best driver’s cars of all time. With a naturally aspirated 5.7L V10 that screams like a bat out of hell, and a 6-speed manual gearbox, and carbon ceramic brakes, this car offers one of the most complete driving experiences of all time. And while it is as raw as possible in terms of driving dynamics, it’s not like the car is barebones in terms of technology either. The engineering behind this hypercar was way ahead of its time.

The Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Roadster is like the Spitfire of cars. Pictures simply don't capture what this car is most famous for - the V8 symphony its 5.4L supercharged V8 engine produces.

Next up, the car that put McLaren back in the “big boy” hypercar game - the P1. Depending on who you ask, it may or may not be the fastest out of the Holy Trinity. But either way, it is one seriously quick car. In case you aren't familiar with this hybrid beast of a car, it has a mind-boggling 903 horsepower from a 3.8L twin-turbo V8 coupled with electric motors. It is also one of the few cars that scared the bejesus out of Jeremy Clarkson, so there's that. If you ever spot a UFO on the road, it is quite possibly a McLaren P1!

This is one of the most exciting cars from McLaren's stable. The Senna. Paying homage to the legendary Brazilian Formula 1 driver, Ayrton Senna, this is quite possibly the fastest production car out there (on a track). How extreme is the Senna, then? Well, the doors have little windows in the middle so the driver can see how well they're hitting the apex. So yes - pretty darn extreme.

A successor to the Porsche Carrera GT, the 918 had pretty large shoes to fill. With this car, Porsche proved to the world just how underrated their cars are, with the 918 shattering records after record. While purists missed the manual gearbox that made the Carrera GT a modern-day legend, the 918’s lightning-quick PDK 7-speed gearbox makes sure that the shifts are almost instantaneous. The Weissach package adds a few extra aero bits, lighter wheels and even more performance.

The LaFerrari was Ferrari's first road car to use hybrid technology. But don't for a second think that it's a glorified Toyota Prius because you couldn't be farther away from the truth. The electric motor here is strictly for performance - so much so that it can never be used in pure electric mode. The engine is always firing on all 12 Italian cylinders, with the byproduct being a lot of noise and even more speed. But the mechanicals only says half of the story. A lot of effort has been spent on making the car look stunning from every angle. The car has so many complex design and aero elements that you could literally spend an entire day examining the car and still miss out on a few details!

When the Chiron came out, the Veyron was already running rings ‘round modern hypercar cars despite being over a decade older. Somehow, Bugatti made sure that the Chiron was even faster and even more comfortable than the Veyron. The new car is far more extreme than anything on this planet, and given the trend, it will remain the king of hypercars for years to come. Every single aspect about the Chiron is mega and you really need to experience it in person to fully comprehend why this is one of the greatest cars on this planet.

Pagani does not make cars, they make vehicular art. Pictured here is Greg B’s green carbon Huayra BC. If you aren’t aware, Greg’s garage is out of this world with Ferrari’s from all eras sharing space with some Ferrari XX cars and…..Alonso’s Formula 1 car!

But the green carbon BC wasn't the only Huayra present. The brand new Huayra Roadster "Joker" was there, too, as can be seen from the car's bonkers interiors!

A few other cars were present at this event, too -
