The world’s first Airbus A350-1000.

March 5 ,2018
On the 21st of February 2018, the Qatari flag carrier Qatar Airways took delivery of it’s and also the world’s first Airbus A350-1000.
The aircraft has kicked off its operations of daily commercial flights to London from its homebase Doha from 24th February 2018. Qatar Airways will eventually fly the aircraft on long haul routes to the East Coast of the United States, according to Qatar Airways CEO, Akbar Al Baker.
Qatar Airways was the launch customer for the original variant of the A350, the -900 series and today it retained that honour by also being the launch customer for the largest twin-engine jet ever produced by Airbus - the A350-1000. At 242 feet, the -1000 is 23 feet longer than the A350-900. Qatar Airways has configured its A350-100 to carry 327 passengers, compared to 283 on their A350-900.
You can watch the making of this beautiful airplane below:
The A350 is made of lightweight carbon-fiber composite materials instead of the more traditional aluminum. This composite construction with its lower weight & greater strength provides greater fuel efficiency and more flier-friendly features such as: higher cabin pressure, larger windows and lower cabin humidity so that long-haul flights are less likely to dry out passengers. There are also hospital grade filters for air circulation & more than 16 million LED ambient light settings to minimize jet lag.
This is the first of 42 A350-1000s ordered by Qatar Airways.
