July 12 ,2018
Martin Kodric and Dennis Lind extended their Blancpain GT Series Asia championship lead by claiming a first victory aboard their FFF Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 on the Suzuka’s racing circuits second race. The consistency of three podiums had helped Lind and Kodric top the GT3 standings prior to round six, but the duo finally broke their victory duck in the 60-minute race to extend their overall advantage at 2018’s halfway mark. They hope to keep the same performance at the Fuji Speedway which is the next racetrack in line and which hosts rounds seven and eight on 21st and 22nd July 2018.
Martin Kodric, who was behind the wheel in the #19 FFF Racing Team's Lamborghini Huracán GT3 was confident enough to say: “We knew it would be a tough race starting from P5. I did everything I could. His brilliant start was alongside team-mate Marco [Mapelli]. they both kept the pace and avoided any foolish moves on the track with complete focus on ending the race on the podium. With very well positioned pitstops they knew the penalty would cost them time, so Dennis [Lind] did a great job to move up the order.
Marco Mapelli and Hiroshi Hamaguchi top the PRO-AM standings as they claimed the fourth position and the class victory in race two, sharing the wheel of the second FFF Racing by ACM Lamborghini car. From Asia to America: third step of GTD podium for Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow, driving Paul Miller Huracán GT3 #48 at the end of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen. After starting seventh, the Paul Miller Racing duo finished in third, earning the fifth podium of the season.
Last but not least, Lamborghini celebrated another huge success with Marcos Gomez and Chico Longo winning the legendary 500 Km de Interlagos, second round of the Brazilian Endurance Championship, and getting the fastest lap at the wheel of the Via Italia Racing’s Huracán GT3.
