Beasts in their natural habitat!

GT2 RS along with a few other cars hit the track!

September 19 ,2018

All Automobili Ardent readers can agree on one thing, the passion for living life through cars has no boundaries. Even if you’re in India. With all the new high-end supercars crossing Indian borders, there is little need to provide evidence as to why India has the potential to have a hyped supercar scene, right? The only Porsche 911 GT2 RS in the country was recently ripping up the Madras Motor Racetrack, and it hasn’t even been a month since its delivery. The GT2 RS was joined with a few other beasts owned by Boopesh Reddy and Shana Parmeshwar, also known as @bren_garage and @spcustoms respectively. For those who don’t already know, there is something rather special about these enthusiasts. They actually dig the culture of the automotive scene in India and try and make the most of their cars in India despite numerous reasons as to why one cannot enjoy cars in India. Perhaps that’s why they enjoy spending time with their cars on the road rather than staring at them sitting in a garage. They appreciate the attention their cars receive from spotters and petrolheads on Indian streets. What’s the point of owning such special cars, and not being appreciated for it? However, there are downsides to all the attention as well. It restricts the supercar drivers in the country from unleashing the full potential of their cars. So, what happens when a group like-minded enthusiasts want to get rid of the itch to push their cars to the limit? Well, it results in over 15 crores worth of supercars teasing the challenging Madras Motor Racetrack. And we were there to bring you the best from the adrenaline high day through our partner Phosart Studio's lenses!

Here’s the thing about people who have a couple supercars parked in their garage; there is always a dissatisfaction or rather a guilt when one car is driven more than the other, or when a few days go by without all cars being driven equally. Perhaps that’s why, out of the blue, we see these owners drive cars that haven’t been spotted on the streets in a long time. It’s quite crucial to understand the emotional aspect here. Obviously, if one spends a decent chunk of their hard-earned money on gas-guzzling automobiles, there has to be an emotional connection. An emotional connection to such a high extent wherein one goes all out by putting all of their cars in a pit lane and showing equal love to each and every car. You could call it an automotive enthusiast’s ‘cheat day’. And it certainly was a cheat day for these enthusiasts, after all, you don’t casually see an AMG GTR, 911 GT2 RS, and one of the most special Huracans in the country, which is the Vorsteiner Huracan accompanied with a Porsche 911 GT3 and Cayman GT4, R8 V 10, Nissan GT-R, with the C63 AMG, all making for quite an astonishing lineup. What’s more? Most of these cars pay a visit to the Madras Motor Racetrack almost every 2 – 3 months, and if that doesn’t speak heights about just how much these supercar owners should be respected, then we don’t know what will. To top it all up, a MRF Formula2000 car made an appearance with @bren_garage behind the wheel with a big smile on his face.

More than just being respected for driving their cars the way they are meant to, these enthusiastic owners play a bigger role in the Indian automotive scene. The cars, not only are a boost of passion for the love of automobiles within our country, but also a huge source of motivation and inspiration for the youth. After all, who wouldn't like to live a life like this and if this is the result of years of hard work, then it is totally worth all that it takes!

Being surrounded by a narrow Indian mindset, most teenagers grow up thinking that being in India, there is only such an extent to which they can be involved with the auto scene. What these daily supercar drivers do is give hope to the teenagers of our country, showing them that India indeed has a scope for being well-known for its car culture. That India, is certainly not a country where supercars sit in garages, rather India is a country where cars are driven even hard regardless of the situations. That in India, driving these cars on packed streets is what makes our country standout for its unique auto scene!
