India to get another race track!

FIA Grade 3 race resort to be set up soon in Andhra Pradesh.

August 3 ,2018

If there as anything that Southern India’s supercar scene was deprived of was then it would be a good racetrack. Although the MMRT in Chennai and Kari Motor Speedway are well used, this part of the country has never had a full blown race track facility. Here’s where Marque One Motec steps in. Marque One is a Bengaluru based company headed by a young scion, Anush Chakravarthi. They are all set to put up a brand new race track in Andhra Pradesh.

Amravati Race Resort, as it would be named, will be the first of
it’s kind in India. With a 3.4 km long race track in the centre of a 219 acre plot, the premises will boast of a off road track and a skid plate along will a full fledged hotel! Marque One plans to set up a FIA Grade 3 track, which means it can accommodate cars with a power-to-weight ratio of 1hp:2-3kg. The track has been designed by international motorsport with inputs from Karun Chandhok himself.
The first phase is expected to be ready in 18 months which will include the race track and a
3 star hotel with membership facilities for regular users which will come with privileges like private access, secure garage parking and preferential rates on rooms and track hire. The second and third phases of construction will see the addition of a 5-hole golf course, a sports complex and an automotive-themed amusement park! The entire project is expected to be completes in a period of 7 years from beginning. Located at about 130kms from Bangalore, this will soon be the hotspot for motorsport activities!

As they say, this is the prime era for the supercar scene in India as it takes it’s wings. With enthusiastic owners buying supercars left right and centre, there couldn’t have been a better time for this project to come up. Infact, we have had the privilege to be a part of this project since conceptualisation and with Anush pouring his heart and soul into his baby project, this will undoubtedly be the next big thing on the Indian supercar scene! Here’s wishing our friend all the best with this project!
